Katrina loves to paint, draw, sketch, and create for children. It makes her happy to see the smiles on their faces as she shows them her art. Other than spending time with her husband and children, Katrina can't think of anything else in this world she loves to do more with her free time than create her art, her way.

A little more about the artist
Katrina graduated from the University of Idaho in 1997 with a B.A. in Art. She has been doing freelance art for more years than she has fingers and toes. Some of her work includes murals, greeting cards, t-shirt designs, rubber stamps, graphic design and energy conservation posters, to name a few.
Below is a picture of Brundage Mountain, taken from her dad's backyard some years ago. It's absolutely beautiful. There's an old saying, "Home is where you hang your hat." If I called anywhere "home" however, this would certainly be the place.

Are we almost done hearing about the artist?
Why of course not! There's more! Some strange and interesting facts about Katrina's art: She has seen her artwork on over 100 different items including golf balls, mouse pads, bodies (other than her own) when she designs tattoos, and even the insert for a casket lid! (Creepy!) No, her artwork wasn't so bad they had to bury it...at least we hope not!

Okay...this is all you'll hear about the artist. Well, maybe.
Katrina gets to create every day, and gets paid to do so. She considers herself very fortunate indeed. When she gets to tickle hearts by doing "her art her way", such as in filling her sketch books with doodles of cartoon people and animals, she is happy and gets lost in her little ink world. On the days she has to clean house, take care of her 7 kids, be a taxi driver, a referee, a chef, a volunteer, a teacher, a wife, and a mom...well, she's STILL happy 'cause she takes along her sketch book! (ha,ha!)

Of course we're happy!
We're making fudge! Whoops! The secret is out...Katrina is a chocoholic. she can't resist her Gram's fudge! There's just something about it that takes her back to her childhood. When she eats it, or should we say, DEVOURS it, in that moment Katrina feels like she's home again. She's sure her sisters feel the same way! (Wow! Look at all those shiny teeth! Yep. It must be all those years of eating chocolate!)
